Proud To Be One Of Sheridan's Leading Community Banks.

Sheridan State Bank is a member of the United Bancorporation Of Wyoming, Inc., the largest domestic bank holding company headquartered in Wyoming.
Founded in 1984 by Joseph R. and Jerralee A. Lyman, and originally chartered as the Sheridan National Bank, the bank building was located on North Main Street. In late 1987, operations were moved to the present more centralized location in the Sheridan downtown business district. Eight months after the move the bank was purchased by the holding company Drake-Lyman Bancshares, Inc.
In 1994, United Bancorporation Of Wyoming, Inc. (UBW) purchased Sheridan National and renamed it Sheridan State Bank. At the time of the acquisition, Sheridan State Bank was the fourth largest bank in Sheridan. After reorganizing the staff and assembling a board of directors from the Sheridan business community, bank services were refocused with an emphasis on commercial, agricultural and real estate financing. As a result, the full-service bank has become a major competitor in Sheridan County and assets have increased from $37 million to $155 million, now making it Sheridan's third largest bank.
