ROTH IRA
A ROTH IRA differs from a traditional IRA in two ways: Taxes are paid at the time of deposit, and both principal and interest are tax-free when withdrawn at retirement (after age 59 1/2).  A traditional IRA may be converted to a ROTH IRA.
